Legend Relics is the perfect pairing of my entrepreneurial side with my creative side. As a hobby, years ago, I created my own websites, cards, invitations, and more. I found it rewarding. But, as we all experience, life came along and I put everything on hold to be an adult with a "real job" as a nurse and mother. Then my energy focused on providing for my sons as a single mom. I met my partner shortly thereafter, and found out that he had an interesting hobby. He and his brothers have been paddling C-1's since 1983.. All four brothers spent their young adult weekends on whitewater rivers. They spent all day running the river and camped at night. The brothers bonded, exploring and traveling down winding water pathways. Their adventures formed a relationship with nature and each other. I joined my partner and his brothers in some of the whitewater adventures and got caught up in the excitement of exploring places on the river. Whitewater paddling takes you through some beautiful places and you meet funny, kind and welcoming people. The more I immersed myself in the sport and the culture, I knew my next step was natural. Creating designs for whitewater paddlers is that next step. My personal legend, or life's calling, is to create. Combined with a "personal legend" I started Legend Relics and my dream was brought back to life. Legend Relics is my take on treasure, clothing, accessories.
